Since i have a XBox 360 entertainment system i am fascinated about one thing in games. The coop-mode. I could not understand why there are still customers out there which compare Xbox, PS3 and Wii. Every one of this next-gen consoles have their advantages, but only one of them offers such a great online experience. The XBox 360 and the associated online-service XBox Live are very great.
For 60$ a year you get access to a service that simply works. Switch on your system and start playing with thousands of other players immediately. Greatest thing of most new multiplayer-game-titles on XBox 360 is the so called coop-mode and the best example is the completely new game Army of Two. It’s designed to play together, it’s funny and the look is very great. Me and a friend are playing Halo 3, Fifa 08 and other multiplayer games for a while, but the greatest experience we ever had was with Army of Two this week. It’s not the story or great graphic, it’s simply the nice irony and the little jokes threw the complete game and for sure the well designed coop-features.
If you own a XBox system, go and buy this game. If you not have this console, this week Microsoft offers the system from a starting price of 199€ in most europe countries and 269€ for the version with a 20GB HDD inside. It’s time to buy one.
If you wanna play, “eliias” is my gamertag, it would be nice if there are some gamers out there, willing to play with me.
Ps.: I have real friends too
AOT is a great game, but I have to say you are quite wrong in thinking that XBox live is a better online experience than the PS3.
The new PS3 games offer some of the same features as XBox live with one big advantage, It’s FREE. Not to mention the PS3 is a better piece of hardware and it’s more powerful.
Also the PS2 offered online Co-op mode with Socom CA, one of the best online shooters, oh yea it’s only available on the PlayStation.
I think to compare XBox Live and the Sony PS solution is like to compare apples and oranges. If you have ever played with XBox 360 online, you don’t want to miss that experience. f.e. Tekken on PS3, how long it takes to get into a game, i have tried it and i was completely disappointed. Gran Turismo is much better but far away from perfect.
For sure, XBox Live is not open but it really works nearly every time i want to play(except the X-Mas disaster to be honest) and matchmaking is fast.
Another reason why i like my XBox 360 more than the PS3 is the Software-Part. f.e. Devil may Cry, you have to install it on your PS3(approx. 20min !!!!!), this is a console not a PC, i thought.
Maybe the PS3 has a more advanced hardware architecture, but there is no game out there that use the parallel computing power from the PS3. It seems to me, developers currently can get more power out of 3 asynchronous CPU’s than of 7(i think there are seven inside) synchronous. There will be a time, if Metal Solid and Final Fantasy released too be exact, i am going to buy on of these PS3′s, but not now.
I’ve never had a problem getting online and into a game with my PS3. Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 has a great online experience and I’m sure that once the new SOCOM comes out for the PS3 the standard for online games for the PS3 will be set. I still think that SOCOM 3 has a better online experience than any XBox game.
This debate can go on for ever, well at least until the Xbox is obsolete.

Definitly true. But finally let me say, we all enjoy gaming
